Conservatory design and build

The aim of a good design is to provide a perfect conservatory that not only fits perfectly in measurements, size and style to your property, looks as though it has been there since your property was first built and fulfils the role that you want from it, whether it be for a kitchen, a lounge or study.

Our first contact is to visit and talk through, with you, your requirements, of your new conservatory, positioning and size. We will take measurements and photographs of your property and from these details; we can form a design, quotation and specification.

Allerthorpe conservatories will also be happy to review your own or your architects schematic drawings for feasibility and budget prices.

Our proposals will be posted to you to allow you make up your own mind in the comfort of your own home, you may want to ask further questions or form design alterations, we will not hassle you for a decision, but will answer any question in relation to our proposal.

Allerthorpe conservatories can, at your request, submit planning and building control applications and seek listed buildings consent on your behalf.

We will undertake as much or as little of your project that you require, alternatively drawings and practical advice will be provided for your own builder and sub trades.

We will work along with your own builder to supply you with the correct end result ensuring a perfect installation.

Structure and detail

All of our conservatories are manufactured from a hardwood called UTILE. Specified by TRADA (Timber Research and Development Association) as a close grained and very durable hardwood, ideal for internal joinery and cabinet making and external structural joinery it is mid brown in its untreated state, utile is excellent for staining and painting.

Our conservatories have unique beautiful mouldings to roof timbers, frames, sashes and doors and we also have the ability to match your existing house mouldings to give the feeling that your new conservatory really belongs to your house.

Externally your roof is maintenance free with double glazed roof panels and colour coded, powder coated aluminium capping's and roof ventilators. All flashings including valleys, hips, abutments to your property and gables are traditionally finished in lead.

Allerthorpe conservatories can provide your conservatory in a style that is as traditional or contemporary as you require.

With options of corbels, columns (round and square), lantern roofs, panels with bolection mouldings or flutes and endless fretted window designs. Or we can provide large square sectioned framework and roofs, stained in unusual colours, introduce stainless steel or chromed fittings, stained glass in design or colour to provide a contemporary design.
